Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This policy explains what Cliptica collects, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what's needed to run the service, we don't sell it, and your videos are not training data.

1. What we collect

Account data

Email address and authentication credentials (managed by our authentication provider, Supabase). Optionally a display name.

Content you upload

The videos you submit, the transcripts generated from them, and the clips produced. Processed to deliver the service, stored per the retention windows below.

Usage and billing data

Which features you use, minutes processed per job (this powers your usage ledger), plan and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never touch our servers.

Technical data

Logs, error reports (via Sentry), IP addresses, and browser information used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.

2. What we don't do

3. How content is processed

Transcription and moment analysis may be performed by vetted third-party AI providers under agreements that prohibit them from retaining or training on your data. Video rendering happens on our own infrastructure. Finished clips are stored in our storage provider (Supabase) until their retention window expires.

4. Retention

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Deleting your account from the account page removes your content and personal data on the schedule above. For anything you can't do in-product, email privacy@cliptica.com and we'll handle it within 30 days. Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), you may have additional statutory rights — we honor them regardless of geography where practical.

6. Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS; data at rest is encrypted by our storage providers. Access to production data is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects your data, we will notify you without undue delay.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session state. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. Analytics, if enabled, are privacy-respecting and aggregate.

8. Children

Cliptica is not directed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Changes and contact

Material changes to this policy are announced by email or in-product at least 14 days before taking effect. Questions or requests: privacy@cliptica.com.
