Terms of service

Last updated: July 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of Cliptica, the video clipping platform operated by Cliptica ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you're using Cliptica on behalf of a company, you're agreeing for that company.

1. The service

Cliptica processes video content you provide and produces derivative short-form clips with automated editing, captioning, and related enhancements. Features, allowances, and storage windows vary by plan as described on the pricing page. During early access, features may change, break, or be withdrawn as we improve the product; we'll communicate material changes.

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account credentials and everything done under them. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live). One person per account unless your plan includes seats. Keep your email current — it's how we reach you about your account and jobs.

3. Your content and your rights

You keep full ownership of the videos you upload and the clips Cliptica produces from them. We claim no rights over your content except the limited license needed to process, store, and deliver it back to you — that license ends when your content is deleted from the service.

Your content is not used to train AI models, is not shared with other users, and is not used in our marketing without your explicit written permission.

4. Your responsibilities

You may only upload content you have the right to use — your own footage, or footage you have permission from the rights holder to clip (for example under a clipping agreement with a creator). You are solely responsible for how you use and distribute the resulting clips, including compliance with the rules of the platforms you post to.

You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful; not to abuse, probe, or overload the service; not to resell access without an agreement with us; and not to use automated means to circumvent plan limits.

5. Plans, credits, and billing

6. Storage and deletion

Source uploads are deleted after processing. Finished clips are stored for your plan's stated window and then deleted permanently. Download anything you want to keep. When you delete content or close your account, we remove it from production systems promptly and from backups on their normal rotation.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe content processed through Cliptica infringes your rights, email legal@cliptica.com with the material, your rights, and your contact details. We respond to valid notices by removing the material and, for repeat infringers, terminating accounts.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Cliptica is provided "as is." AI output varies with input; we don't guarantee any clip's performance on any platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, sections that by their nature survive (content rights, liability limits, disputes) survive.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that is acceptance. Questions: legal@cliptica.com.
